Brandy Price is a passionate community organizer, drag performer, and former mayoral candidate who has always stood up for justice for herself and her neighbors. Recently, after attending a meeting about XAI in South Haven, Brandy and her partner were pulled over by a deputy who noticed their 9-foot flagpole with a Mexican flag. The deputy accused Brandy of having meth in the car simply because of some candles she had in the back. She was taken into custody and spent 22 hours in isolation. This is not the first time Brandy has had to cope with bullying from people who are supposed to be serving our communities. Now, Brandy faces a court date on the 24th and urgently needs to raise funds for an expert witness and court reporter fees to help her defend herself. Without this support, Brandy is at risk of imprisonment. Brandy has always been there for others, using her voice, her body, her art, and her courage to uplift those around her.
