As some of you may know, Brandy has been dealt a pretty crappy hand the last few years, and recently it became unimaginable. I have been a friend and client (best nail tech around) of Brandy’s for 15 years now and have seen all the things this woman has persevered through, but the news she received lately, no one was prepared for.

Rewinding to May 2025, she got a deep tissue massage, leaving her left arm hurting BADLY! She went to urgent care because it was unbearable. Through several tests, they found a mass in her left breast. Through more testing, not cancer! Yay!! However, one thing has led to another, and the amount of X-rays, MRIs, and CTs she’s had in the last 2 months have brought SO MUCH to light. All of this led her to make an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic, now leaving her with 4 specialists (2 neurologists, a urologist, and pain management). Through all the tests, MRIs, and scans, they found fluid on Brandy’s spine. The fluid on the spine is causing the nerves on the left side of her body to basically die. The neurologist informed her she has somewhere from six months to a year and a half before she could become paralyzed from the nipples down due to the fluid. To anyone, this news is devastating, especially to someone so young who relies on her arms and hands to make a living! Her left arm has been numb for about four months, and her left leg is now mimicking the left arm.

The neurologist decided to order more MRIs and scans, and when he called Brandy with the results, he informed her that there was another incidental finding: a mass on her right kidney. That mass, in fact, is cancer. Not only the news of impending paralysis due to fluid on the spine but now CANCER! She has been diagnosed with cervical myopathy, cervical stenosis, levoscoliosis, and renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). With this finding, it pushed back all treatment of the spine issues, and now she is undergoing surgery to remove and treat the cancer! The surgery to remove the cancer is just the beginning of a long road ahead!

Brandy is one of the hardest workers I know, always going above and beyond for her clients and working long days and weekends to provide for her daughter! Her children are her world, and this news has caused unimaginable worry for both her and them!

Any amount will help take some burden off of Brandy as the sole provider, in a career without sick leave, etc!

She is tough and has beaten cancer before, and I have no doubt she will do it again, but she deserves some support in this time of need!
