Brandy McGovern is a devoted wife, mother of three, and proud grandmother to 7-month-old Beaux, with another grandchild, Baylor, due in November. As her daughter, I want to share a bit about her remarkable life. Brandy has a passion for traveling, cooking, and cherishing moments with her family. Her gumbo is renowned among everyone who knows her. She grew up in the River Parishes and graduated from Destrehan High School in 1999, proudly a Desty Darling. Throughout her childhood, she participated in numerous pageants. She was Miss Queen of Hearts. 

Brandy has been happily married to Christopher McGovern for 20 years. These two have always done everything they could for their friends and family.

Recently, Brandy was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is currently unable to work due to her diagnosis. She is undergoing treatment with three different chemotherapies aimed at shrinking the tumor and alleviating her pain. With this challenging prognosis, she has been given two precious years.
