Support Brando's Road to Recovery

Hello everyone,

I am helping my niece out and trying to raise funds to cover veterinarian expenses for a horse she has recovered from a horrible situation.

The story........

Ashley has grown up showing and raising horses. She finally got to a point in her life she could get a broodmare and breed to a great stallion so she could raise a baby that would have the greatest chance to have a wonderful life and show career.

Brando was born 2 years ago and was such a beautiful colt, Ashley knew right away he was special and was going to be a great one. She spent months getting him ready to show, sent him to a wonderful trainer in Texas who helped prepare him for his first show. He went on and placed in the top 10 at his first show. Ashley brought Brando back home and decided he had the best start and he was ready to go to his forever show home. She sold him as a yearling and thought he was in great hands.

Unfortunately, as we are all aware, not all people should have animals. Brando found himself in a horrible situation where he was bouncing from barn to barn and not receiving the care the Veterinarian's said he needed.

After months of neglect the owner contacted Ashley and ask if she wanted Brando back and that if she did to come get him. Ashley gets there to find Brando in the worst condition you could imagine. It looks like he is a burn victim and it is covering 90% of his body. You can compare to Steven Johnson Syndrome in people.

He is now safe with Ashley and she is providing him with the best care and chance to recover from this horrible situation he was in. He has severe dermatitis, with cellulitis, ulcers, and is very malnourished.

This was totally out of the blue and unexpected. Ashley is pregnant and also in thr process of moving and buying a new home. Even with all of this going on she could not stand to see Brando in this condition and agreed to take him back and help him.
