Brandon and his wife Reba have been on such an emotional rollercoaster. On September 22, 2025, they received a devastating diagnosis that was life-shattering, telling Brandon he had only months to live. Then, on October 17, 2025, they received better news: the original belief of stage 4 lung cancer was not actually the case. Instead, Brandon was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Learning that it is treatable and that he could possibly still live many years brought hope to everyone who cares about him.
If you know my cousin, you know that beneath his rough and outspoken personality, he is incredibly caring and thoughtful. He is the biggest cheerleader for others and would take the shirt off his back for someone in need. He inherited our family genes of pride and stubbornness, which makes it truly hard for him to accept any help. Between medical bills draining them and everyday life expenses—especially with inflation—Brandon and Reba are struggling. Brandon not being able to work has only made things harder for them. He is halfway through his chemo rounds, and the good days have now become almost non-existent. His glowing light and personality are dim, and he stresses over not being able to be there for the people he cares about the way he used to.
With the little strength he has, the worries and stress of bills are taking a toll on him, making it harder to keep fighting through. Many people have offered to help and suggested GoFundMe for Brandon, as we all truly want to support him. He might be upset for a little bit, but I know the love we all show him—as he has shown us over the years—will remind him he is not alone. This is not a charity, although to him it may feel like it. This is to show him his village is not one-sided, and just as he is there for us, we are also here for them!
Donations will go towards medical expenses and daily living expenses. Please consider supporting Brandon and Reba during this difficult time. Any help, big or small, will make a difference and remind them they are surrounded by a caring community.
