Support Brandon’s fight against FSGS Kidney Disease

Our son Brandon Jr 13, was taken into the emergency room on April 29th, 2025 for nausea and vomiting. Due to his age and the severity of his labs, he was then transported via ambulance to Rush Copley Medical University in Chicago IL. Brandon has since been in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit enduring a battery of tests. After, a kidney biopsy the doctors discovered he is suffering from a rare kidney disease called Collapsing Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis or FSGS. With only 19% renal function putting him in Stage 4 Kidney failure. The specialists are doing everything necessary to treat him, but have been battling with other complications as well. Brandon has already started undergoing steroids and dialysis and his care team is currently determining the next steps of his treatment.

Brandon is such a kind, caring, and sweet child. He is the big brother to two younger siblings. He loves football and wrestling . Brandon also just recently placed 7th place in the IKWF State Wrestling Tournament and was registered to attend the 2025 Illinois freestyle tournament prior to his illness.

We are absolutely devastated about his diagnosis however optimistic.

One parent is commuting daily to Chicago, while the other stays home in Yorkville caring for the other two children.
