Please Help Us Support Dad’s Recovery After a Devastating Injury

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out for your help and support during one of the most challenging times in our lives. My dad suffered a terrible accident on December 26th when he slipped on the ice, breaking his right arm and multiple ribs. While being treated at the hospital, he developed a brain bleed and suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, which has caused complete paralysis on the left side of his body. The bleed was in an area of the brain that was untreatable so they were left waiting the night, praying it would stop.

Thankfully, his condition has stabilized, and the brain bleed has stopped, but the damage has been done. His cognitive function is intact, and we are so grateful that his mind remains sharp. However, the road to recovery is going to be long and difficult. With complete paralysis on one side of his body and severe injuries on the other, he is unable to move much and is in a great deal of pain. He remains in the ICU, but will eventually be transferred to a rehab facility. It will be close to a year before we know what kind of recovery he will make.

He is an incredibly strong and resilient person, but he is understandably worried about the mounting medical bills and added uncovered expenses.

We’re asking for your help to give him the support he needs to focus on healing and regaining his independence. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward his medical expenses and associated costs from daily travel to and from the hospital.
