Brandon Vega was a close friend of mine who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. His family, including his brother Ryan, had to travel all the way from Greenville, South Carolina, to Cape May County for his funeral. Brandon was a lovable guy I met six years ago, and we've been friends ever since. We bonded over motorcycles, which he rode every single day of the year. My kids affectionately called him Bunny Bear because of the bunny helmet he wore while riding. Brandon touched countless lives in Cape May County, making thousands of friends along the way. He attended Wildwood High School and worked at McDonald's in North Cape for years, always ready to lend a hand or give you the shirt off his back.
