Hello everyone, my name is Brandon Mellgren and thank you for taking a moment to read our story.

This past Sunday night, our lives were turned upside down by a frightening and sudden oil fire in our home. In a moment of sheer panic and instinct, I made the desperate decision to carry the burning pan outside. While my quick thinking prevented the fire from spreading indoors, the outcome was devastating. As the door opened, the intense flames regrettably engulfed my body.

I was immediately rushed to the hospital, where I spent two days being treated for deep second-degree burns. The damage is significant, covering my hands, a large area from my upper thigh to the bottom of my knee, and parts of my left foot.

While I am now home, the road to recovery is long and challenging. I require daily assistance for even the simplest tasks and must remain completely focused on healing properly before I can even think about returning to work. My family and I are facing the daunting reality of lost income and mounting costs associated with this recovery.

We are not asking for charity, but for a helping hand—a bridge to get us through this unexpected and difficult time. Every contribution will go directly toward essential expenses like medical bills, daily care needs, and covering our essential living costs so that I can focus 100% on recovery.
