On Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, our friend Brandon Lewis endured a sudden and terrifying medical emergency. While shooting pool with his APA team, he became disoriented and could not talk. He experienced numbness on one side of his body. Brandon's friends thought fast, immediately calling an ambulance to transport him to the hospital. There, it was determined that he had suffered a stroke. 38-year-old Brandon underwent emergency surgery and is now working toward recovery. After 2 days in the ICU, he is regaining some of his fine and gross motor skills, as well as the ability to talk. Though Brandon works full time, he does not have health insurance. Our hope is that we, as Brandon's friends and community, can ease some of this financial burden so that he and his family can focus on his healing.
