Help Brandon King fight through his rehabilitation

Support His Journey to Recovery

On October 31, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Brandon King, was found unresponsive. Thanks to the quick response of the Sterling Heights EMS team, Brandon was revived and rushed to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with cardiac arrest and placed on life support. Since that day, Brandon has endured two surgeries and battled through numerous complications with unimaginable strength.

We are raising funds to support Brandon’s long and challenging recovery journey. Our goal is to provide him with the care, equipment, and the environment he needs to heal and thrive. These expenses, including caregivers, medical supplies, and specialized equipment, go beyond what his insurance will cover.
This campaign is for Brandon, a devoted father, loving partner, and incredible brother. Brandon’s 7-month-old daughter, Aspen Mary, and his life partner, Anna, depend on him. Your support will help give Brandon the chance to regain his strength and return home, where he belongs—with his family.

By raising these funds, we can move Brandon home to continue his recovery surrounded by family and friends who love him deeply. A familiar and supportive environment will allow him to reach his maximum potential and rebuild his life after this life-altering event.

Your contributions will go directly toward:
Hiring in-home caregivers to provide essential medical and personal care

Purchasing medical supplies and equipment

Covering therapy and rehabilitation costs

Supporting daily living needs for Brandon and his family

The past few weeks have been the hardest of our lives. Doctors initially told us Brandon had minimal brain activity and only a 5-10% chance of survival, but we refused to give up on him. After six days, Brandon began to defy all odds, showing signs of improvement—opening his eyes, moving his mouth, and responding to commands.

After 19-20 days in the ICU, we were approved to transfer him to a rehabilitation center. Tragically, that same night, something happened requiring emergency surgery. Doctors highly recommended hospice care, but Brandon kept fighting, giving us signs he wanted to live. Against all odds, he’s now speaking a few words, smiling, and responding with hand squeezes. His progress is nothing short of a miracle.

This journey has been a rollercoaster, but Brandon’s determination to live inspires us to keep fighting alongside him. The next step is to bring him home, where he can recover in a safe, loving environment. However, this requires significant financial resources that we cannot cover alone.

With your support, Brandon can continue his miraculous recovery surrounded by those who love him most. We believe in his strength and are committed to giving him every opportunity to heal and rebuild his life.

We need your help to raise $25,000 to make this possible. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to providing Brandon with the care he needs. If you’re unable to give, please share this story with your network to help us spread the word.

Thank you for being part of Brandon’s incredible journey. Your prayers, support, and generosity mean the world to our family.

Sincerely,
The King Family
