I am starting this GoFundMe page to help our friend, Brandon Buckels.

On Sept 27, 2024, while on vacation during a storm, a tree uprooted and fell on Brandon. He was treated for a traumatic head injury, forehead and head lacerations, as well as a concussion and cervical injury.

He healed and went back to work in January 2025, only to realize he was still having issues. He was referred to a physiatrist, who told him he was one step away from a wheelchair. He then was seen by his neurologist, who put him off work immediately at the end of March!

His neurologist then referred him to a neurosurgeon who told him one bump on his head and he'd become paralyzed and needed surgery. On July 21, 2025, he had cervical surgery to repair C6-C7 and remove a bone spur pressing on his spine. Initially, it was supposed to be C3-C7, but his head will not tilt back enough due to a previous surgery.

He's been without income since the end of March and they need our help! He's exhausted his savings, paying bills, hospital bills, co-pays, and daily living expenses.
