Carrie tragically passed away on May 19. She was incredibly smart, funny, and so loved by her family and friends. Carrie cared deeply about the world around her and dedicated her life to helping others through her work at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Carrie was also a beloved daughter, and the love she shared with her parents was at the center of who she was.

She was taken from us too soon and will be missed by so many. She leaves behind countless friends, family members, coworkers, and loved ones who adored her. Above all, she loved her husband, Brandon, their four-month-old son, Hudson, and their dog, Jett.

Many people have reached out asking how they can help, and Carrie would want us to provide love and support for Brandon and Hudson during this heartbreaking time. Our focus now is making sure that they have the help they need as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

A celebration of life reception will be held for Carrie on Saturday, June 27th from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at The History Center (800 2nd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403). More information about a gathering in Los Angeles will come at a later date.
