Support Brandi's Urgent Surgery Fund

My name is Jen & I'm trying to help Brandi raise the money for copay, she needs for surgery on May 29th.

Brandi is chronically ill. She deals with 17 immune disorders. Five of them are extremely rare, one is terminal. That's called autoimmune Hepatitis, which has put her at stage four Cirrhosis. Due to being on immunosuppressant drugs with steroids, she's susceptible to infections that her body doesn't clear as easily. Which is where we need help.

Brandi has a large solid mass of infection in her sinuses that's like a rock. After four courses of antibiotics, the only way to remove it is surgically. The infection hasn't gone into the bone, but there is bone loss. There is some necrotic tissue which has to be debrided. She is set up for surgery on May 29th. But, a sudden change to her insurance has now left her with a MINIMUM deposit of $5800 or they won't do her surgery. As of yesterday, that's what they want before they'll do a payment arrangement. She has to prepay the doctor, surgery center, and anesthesiologist. The infection has not gotten into her upper sinus cavities, which the ENT said could be detrimental being that close to the brain. On top of all the immune disorders she deals with, she's been very sick with this added on top. She's been dealing with this for approx 8 months & the ENT said there's no choice but to go in & remove and get rid of the rock-hard mass. There are pictures... it's pretty gnarly.
