4am Sat, Brandi was taken to Greenville Memorial. I asked all day and no one had heard from her. But it wasn't like a constant thing; I just randomly kept asking. When her daughter had not heard from her and she hadn't been online for 22 hours, we all started panicking. To get told she's in the hospital and then get here and they couldn't find her. I was ready to fight everyone in Greenville Memorial!! Why aren't you taking me to her? She needs me!!
So then we had an amazing woman in California that my lil sis Amber called by accident. She got us a phone number and found my sis in 5 or less minutes after 2 or 3 hours of getting told she was here and now she's not and they had no idea where she was. Being her twin, their faces all told me they knew and yet they weren't telling me or taking me to her. My twin, my heart, my life!
We're not 100 percent sure what caused the accident, but they think she fell asleep at the wheel. Prior, however, the vehicle had some issues and we knew that it was accelerating all on its own. With no airbags, her chest took the blunt force of hitting the brick sign. The list of injuries is long and maybe I'll add that at some point, but she's got broken ribs, a punctured lung that partially may be removed depending on surgery. The other side is crushed. We argue day and night. But what I wouldn't give to be the one driving her instead of her driving and being tired.
Brandi is a fighter and so strong, but that look she gave me hit right in the soul.... she was scared before surgery and she's got a few more surgeries to still get through but the fact that I'm just sitting here kills me. I can't do anything but sit here. So while she's facing a long, painful recovery, she will need help keeping her bills paid and helping her keep her home. Please help.
