We are Brandi and Mikenna Avery, and we are seeking assistance for medical and monthly bills due to me being out on medical leave from work.

I have been battling mucinous appendiceal adenocarcinoma, stage 4B (appendix cancer) for several years. I had HIPEC surgery (which is nicknamed the mother of all surgeries) in 2018. Due to all of the procedures that were completed during that surgery, I have chronic health issues. I had to have my spleen, appendix, and gallbladder removed, a complete hysterectomy, a resection of my colon, and heated internal chemotherapy, just to name a few of the procedures. I have also had abdominal wall surgery twice for cancer recurrences. Appendix cancer is rare, and there is no cure. I have an outstanding medical team who specializes in my type of cancer, or I would not still be living today.

I have fought to work for as long as possible, but this fall my body has become even more unpredictable. I have had issues with my immune and digestive systems. I have used all my days off work with intermittent family medical leave. I am trying to figure out my next steps, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have made life look too easy for far too long, and I am exhausted.
