Help Us Save Our Home — A Mom’s Fight to Keep Her Kids Safe and Together

Hi, my name is Brandi, and I’m a mom of four amazing kids who are my whole world. Writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I never imagined I’d be here — asking for help just to keep our home and sense of security.

In June 2024, their dad and I made the painful decision to separate. What followed has been a whirlwind of heartbreak, confusion, and survival. In April 2025, he stopped helping with household support altogether, and since then, it has felt like the ground has been pulled from beneath us.

The emotional toll has been heavy — on me and especially on our kids. They’ve had so much taken from them already: the comfort of two parents at home, the sense of safety that every child deserves, and the life they once knew. I’ve tried to be their rock — holding it together even on the nights I cry after they’ve gone to bed, trying to figure out how to keep everything from falling apart.

There’s been trauma — in the sudden changes, in the silence where support used to be, in watching their hearts break while trying to stay brave for them. Every day, I push forward: working, going to school full-time, and doing my best to keep their world as normal as possible.

Through it all, our Eastwood community has been our blessing. They’ve shown my children what love and kindness truly look like — giving them rides, food, encouragement, and a sense of belonging when everything else felt uncertain. This community is their stability, their safe place, and their light in a really dark time. Losing our home would mean losing that — the one thing that’s kept them smiling and thriving through all the hurt.

I’ve done everything in my power to get things moving legally — to secure the help and support that should be there — but it takes time, and right now, we’re out of time.

As a mom, I’ve always tried to handle everything on my own. But today, I’m swallowing my pride because this is about more than me. It’s about four kids who deserve to feel safe, loved, and home.

We pray every day — for strength, for healing, and for their dad.
