UPDATED... Brandi’s battle and road to recovery
Just before New Year’s Day, Brandi Hatch, a loving mother, neighbor and friend, was unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
She was quickly transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she remained for 36 days to navigate and tackle the first stages of diagnosis and chemotherapy treatments.
Since then, she has had numerous weekly appointments and stays in Brunswick and Portland. As she gains strength, she is continually undergoing additional treatments and surgeries in order to meet the necessary measures in order begin her transplant journey.
Brandi is a fierce fighter, and tremendously loved by a number of family and friends.
We are hoping this will help to alleviate the burden of travel and medical costs for her and her beautiful family as they work to beat this disease.
On April 8th 2025 she will be leaving for Boston, as Brandi will be starting the journey for her stem cell transplant at Mass General Hospital. Here, she will undergo radiation and chemotherapy treatments leading to her transplant.
This process will take a total of 8 weeks in Boston, 4 of which will be in the hospital, and the remaining 4 she will be required to stay in Boston to receive further care and daily checkups with her doctors.
This will be costly for the family as she will be having to stay close to the facility, but at another location.
Brandi is a fierce fighter, and tremendously loved by a number of family and friends.
We are hoping this will help to alleviate the burden of travel, food and medical costs for her and her beautiful family as they work to beat this disease.
