Support Brandi's Battle Against Metastatic Breast Cancer

My close friend, Brandi Mbolu, is bravely fighting metastatic breast cancer. To win this battle, Brandi needs an army of support, especially as she and her husband have two adorable young children under the age of 3 who need their love and care.

Brandi has been an incredible friend, a loving mother, an exceptional physical therapist and a beacon of strength and positivity. Last year, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer during the last trimester of her daughter’s pregnancy. She was induced a few weeks early so that she could quickly start chemotherapy treatments. Her oncologist told her she would only have six months to live. Despite her diagnosis, she has continued to fight with incredible courage and still makes you laugh like nothing is wrong.

Her humor, bravery and strength is truly inspiring. However, the realities of this illness are harsh. While caring for her children, she must find time to attend frequent hospital visits and undergo invasive and painful medical treatments. I cannot imagine dealing with the physical and emotional toll of this situation with as much positivity as Brandi. This diagnosis has also presented significant financial challenges to Brandi and her family. She is unable to work full-time and, due to upcoming treatments, she will be out of work for a while. Her husband frequently has to take time off to help with Brandi’s care. The financial burden of ongoing treatment, coupled with the need for additional help at home, has become overwhelming. The costs associated with medical bills, treatments, and essential household expenses are mounting. On top of that, Brandi wants to ensure her young children have the support they need during this challenging time.

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the financial pressures so that Brandi can focus on her health and her family. The funds will be used to cover:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Essential household expenses and childcare
