Support Braeden Ortiz on Journey to Recovery ❤️‍

Hello:

My name is Priscilla Tenorio. I am asking for your support.

My Son, Braeden Ortiz is in 8th grade at Barton MS. He had a tragic accident on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Hays High School for Track & Field. His itinerary was for Shot Put & Discus. Somehow, he was in a relay that required him to  carry a tire, which I had no knowledge that this was to take place. During this time, his legs buckled and caused him to collapse. Both legs were severely injured, causing them to be broken, which required emergency surgery.

To know that his athletic career has come to a stop, is also hard for him to take in. It will take a long road to recovery, but my Bubba is a Champ!

I lost my job and had to resign, which will cause our medical insurance to end. Therefore, financially, this will take a toll that nobody can prepare for. Continued hospital stays, treatments, medications & physical therapy have been expenses that are a daily occurrence. 

I have a medical condition that enables me to care for my son properly. Therefore, since he does not qualify for assistance, I need to hire medical aide to help with care at home.

Braeden has been positive & in good Spirits considering. He is a great student who works hard, plays harder! He has dreams of pursuing his athletic career and hope for a miracle!

Braeden is a loving son, big brother & grandson! He has a big heart and humble! He is smart & never gives up on his goals!
