As some of you may know, but many do not; our world has been turned upside down when my husband, Brad Ward, was diagnosed with tongue cancer. It’s a diagnosis no one ever wants to hear, and it’s one we’re still trying to wrap our heads around.
He’s currently facing a tough road of treatments, appointments, and recovery — and we’re doing our best to take it one step at a time. As anyone can imagine, the medical and emotional toll is only part of it. The financial strain is real — between time off work, hospital bills, medications, travel to specialists, on top of everyday expenses, we’re already feeling the weight of it all.
Brad is a fighter. He’s someone who has always shown up for others — he’s a loving father, a devoted husband, a veteran, a hard worker, and someone who brings light and laughter into every room.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
Brad will need multiple surgeries, along with multiple types of therapies, medications and treatment including radiation. This is going to keep him out of work for a minimum of 5 months, but will likely be longer.
As you can imagine, bills of all kinds will be building up very quickly as his treatment progresses. Brad, nor myself, are the type to ask for help, but we realize that it truly takes a village in life, and right now we need our village.
All donations will go directly toward helping Brad cover expenses for medical treatments and specialist visits, prescription medications, transportation to and from treatment, as well as any unforeseen needs that arise during this difficult time.
If you’re able to support us in any way — whether by donating, sharing this page, or simply keeping us in your thoughts — we’re beyond grateful. Every little bit helps lighten the load and gives us space to focus on what really matters: helping him heal and staying strong as a family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
