Hi Everyone, I am Braden’s mom. I am setting this up because Braden’s cancer has come back again. This is his 5th fight against Osteosarcoma. Braden’s original diagnosis was in July of 2018 at 15 years old. Since then, he has had a total of 20 months of 5 different chemos. His original tumor was in his femur, therefore his first surgery was the removal of 1/2 of his femur and his patella. He’s had 5 lung surgeries removing approximately 20% of his lungs. He’s previously done trials in Dallas, and Cleveland, OH, and is currently looking at another trial at MD Anderson AFTER this major surgery coming up on July 17th. This surgery the osteo has gone outside of the lung and is going through his diaphragm, so he will have to have part of the right lung and part of his diaphragm removed at a minimum. They think it may be going through part of his chest wall and touching his liver… if that is the case, part of his chest wall and liver will also have to be removed. And that surgery will be much more complicated than anything he has had to go through.

This fundraiser will help him while he is in the hospital and recovering. And hopefully help him in going back and forth to Houston if he can get accepted into this other trial.

In between relapses, Braden has volunteered at our local Fire Department, he started EMT school 5 weeks ago, but had to withdraw due to this relapse. Braden is an amazing kid and loved by many. Prayers and good thoughts are just as important to him and us. Thank you for everything.
