Support Brad Ziegler's Road to Recovery

If ever a family was in need of a little miracle, it would be this family. Brad and Codie Ziegler have been through and are still living a total nightmare.
Please help support Brad’s journey and recovery.
Our dearest family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers. In December 2023, our dearest Brad became critically ill from contracting methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection in his bloodstream. This infection hit hard and fast, triggering Sepsis, pulmonary edema, and respiratory failure. Brad was immediately flown to the nearest hospital that could treat his ailments. Brad was admitted into the ICU and was placed on a ventilator while doctors fought hard against this infection. After several MRI’s and CT scans, the doctors discovered that the infection settled into his lower back (around the spine, inside the spine, and the muscles surrounding the spine). At that time, it was decided that surgery was necessary to remove the infection from the spine. Soon after surgery, the doctors discovered that Brad was paralyzed from the chest down causing paraplegia and the loss of functionality in one of his hands.
This was the most devastating news for Brad as this ultimately would rob him of the many passions in his life, especially hunting and the ability to continue his career as a hunting guide. In addition to the paralysis, Brad’s muscles had also atrophied, where he lost all the strength to eat on his own or do any basic care for himself. After several months in the hospital, the doctors were able to successfully battle the infection, but with the damage that it left behind, Brad would require constant care in a skilled nursing facility, including rehab to help him regain enough strength to go home.
After a month in the skilled nursing facility, Brad had contracted MRSA again causing him to be readmitted into the hospital where further complications have occurred causing multiple hospital stays and many medical procedures.
Brad’s wife, Codie was faced with many challenges as she was the sole source of income, insurance, and support during this time. The loss of income and continued need for medical care has been devastating for this family as the income only covers the month-to-month bills, travel expenses, and some medical supplies. The family did not have medical insurance for the first few months leaving them drowning in medical bills.
Due to Brad’s medical condition, he will need to remain in the Phoenix area for many follow-up doctors’ appointments, surgeries, and treatments. The family is now faced with having to relocate from New Mexico to Arizona, with little resources to help with this move.
Brad’s road to recovery will be lengthy and expensive and we are asking for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. We are asking for any help you can provide through donations to allow this family to relocate, continue to receive the proper medical care, help with medical bills, and medical transportation and equipment.
We love you and thank you for all of your love, support, prayers, and donations. God bless each and every one of you.
