Hi, our names are Brad and Bree Taylor-Gutting. Our emergency started in January 2026, when Brad developed a cold that turned into pneumonia and pluracie. The pluracie fluid became infected, causing a partial lung collapse. After 17 days in the hospital, Brad was allowed to come home, but he is still battling pneumonia and remains bedridden. While Brad was hospitalized, his unemployment benefits ran out. He is now in the process of filing for Social Security Disability, but since he is only 60, we understand this could take up to a year to process.
Now that Brad is home, we have exhausted all our savings and are in urgent need of help. We tried to apply for medical relief with the medical center but have been turned down twice. We have been borrowing from 'Peter to pay Paul' and have nowhere else to turn. We are researching medical grants, but so far, nothing has worked.
The funds raised will go directly to pay hospital bills, deductibles, specialty bills, our mortgage, and utilities. At this point, Brad is still bedridden and unable to work. He is about to start physical therapy to regain lung capacity and shoulder strength after lung surgery. Any help with donations or sharing our story will help keep us in our home until Brad can return to work part-time or his disability is awarded. Thank you for your support.
