Support Brad and Boomer in Their Time of Need

I’ve had some ups and downs in life, from the total financial devastation of caring for my mom for the last 12 years of her life to keep her out of nursing homes, to the ups and downs on jobs where I was laid off from companies shutting down due to COVID and the economy.

As many of you know, Boomer ran off yesterday and was gone for 7 hours after he bolted toward a cat. I spent my entire day making flyers for every business in Santee until luckily a sweet, precious lady saw one of my flyers in her mom’s neighborhood and called me that she and her kids had him in her van. Answered prayer!

He seemed fine at first, but he ended up having a very rough night and was throwing up, not eating or drinking, and has blood in his urine. He is very lethargic. Have no clue if he got into something he shouldn’t have or not.

I am heading to Vet now. He did look up from my car when I said there’s a kitty, so I am praying there is hope. I am so worried about him as he is UNIQUE. He’s my soulmate and I would be crushed if I lost him.

As a puppy, he was left out in Hurricane Florence for a few days roaming the streets, so he is a rescue dog, but he certainly rescued me. He has really helped me pull through some rough times.

Lastly, I had some minor medical procedures recently where I had to take off work for several weeks, without pay. Because I have a commission only job now and with no benefits there was no income and that depleted my savings. I have some funds coming in from a car wreck, but unsure at this point of just when that may happen.

I had also started a small business on the side to supplement my income and help me maybe try to retire one day. I’ve invested my savings into the business that will pay off in the future but cannot access right now for the emergency Vet.

I absolutely did not want to ask but could really use some help right now. A friend encouraged me to do this, so I’m putting my pride aside for my Boomer. This dog is a huge part of my life!! He goes with me everywhere, including rides with me to work everyday and through helps me through my day while I do energy audits.

Based on the above situations, this has caught me totally off guard and has me so worried.

Any amount is so appreciated! I have set the goal limit to what the Vet is telling me it may be due to his conditions and based on our discussions.
