Support Bowie's Journey to a Forever Home
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my little buddy, Bowie. This little guy has had a rough go of it. He was pulled from a kill shelter by a rescue back in December and came to live with me as his foster mom for three months. Through my online posts and sharing, I was able to find him a family here on Orcas Island that fell in love with him and adopted him. This family has now decided that they cannot keep Bowie due to some of his behavioral issues that they've had trouble resolving. Sweet Bowie has separation anxiety and has a hard time being separated from his humans or left alone. When he was in my care, this was something that I was able to work with him on and he was improving immensely! However, when he went to his adoptive family, for one reason or another, he completely regressed. Due to this, his adoptive family has decided that they are no longer able to care for him in the way he needs.
I am working directly with the rescuer to raise money to now send this little guy to a board and train with a professional dog trainer who can help him learn the skills to get over his separation anxiety and help him learn positive behaviors so he can be a more adoptable dog and find his forever home. The fee to get him one month of intensive board and train is $3,000. The rescuer has already paid $1,500 out of pocket. I am trying to raise the remaining $1,500.
I am here to ask those of you who have followed his journey while he was in my care and grew fond of him if you have a place in your heart to donate a small amount of money to his future success.
This will go directly to the board and train facility.
No amount is too small. You would be helping Bowie get the necessary training that will help him be the best boy he can be, to keep him out of a shelter and/or possibly wind up in another kill facility, and hopefully lead him to his forever family.
Thank you
