Update as of 1/11/25: We are getting closer to our goal!! Venmo donations are around $4200 thus far. THANK YOU!!!
Hi everyone. On Monday, January 5th, our families world was turned upside down. Kelly and Brian's oldest son, Bowen (9), was diagnosed with leukemia. After initial testing has been completed, it was determined he was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). This is the most common form of leukemia and most common in pediatric cancers. It is fast growing but children often have "excellent" outcomes. Bowen will be inpatient at Cincinnati Children's for at least 1 month while he receives his initial chemotherapy treatments. Treatment thereafter can last 2-2.5 years with some months being more intensive with treatment than others. I am asking our family and friends to come together and help take some of the burden off of them. Between medical bills, transportation to and from, loss wages, etc. it is and will continue to be hard and the last thing I want them to worry about, is money. I know they have the most amazing support between our families and friends and for that we are all truly thankful. You can avoid fees by donating directly to Venmo or with this GoFundMe link. Below is a link to Caring Bridge (Can search Brave Bowen) where family will post updates regarding his continued treatment and progress. HE WILL BEAT THIS!
