My name is Rich but everyone calls me Boston. I am a survivor of many things such as drug addiction ( over 12 years clean ) I survived abuse, sexual assault, and many other things a person should never have to endure. On the 4th of July I woke up to not feeling right so I took my temp low grade fever 99.3 I took my blood pressure it was higher than what I am comfortable with 165/110 During that day my B.P. was all over the place it dropped down to 135/85 then sky rocketed back up to 180/99 in a matter of an hour then remained high the rest of the day over the next few days I monitored the B.P. it remained high until I went into the stroke level I admitted myself to the hospital. Thats when I found out I had A-Fib I stayed in A-Fib for 8 hours. My heart finally calmed down I remained in the hospital for 3 days I had an Ultrasound done on my heart. This is when the problem was found. My Upper left chamber of my heart is only working on 45% capacity , it's enlarged as well all the valves that are attached to that part of that chamber are in danger of failing. I have been out of work since February dealing with this and my battle with mental health have prevented me from working my insurance is only covering so much of these trips to the E.R. , specialists, and crisis units. I am waiting for my next PCP appointment to discuss if they recommend I go on disability or continue playing the waiting game and see what happens.
