Boss needs urgent dental surgery, and we’re raising $2,500 to cover the full cost.

Hi loves,

This is a tender ask, and it’s for someone incredibly special: my beloved pup Boss—also known as bug, buggles, pig, pig pig, little one, little pig, sweet boi (and a dozen other weird names that somehow all fit him perfectly).

Pig is one of those once-in-a-lifetime companions. He’s warm, gentle, playful, and deeply attuned. Independent and curious, always up for mischief or a solo wander—and yet, he always comes home. He loves snacks, his friends, adventure, and a good cuddle. He’s the first to run ahead on the trail and the last to leave the blanket pile. He notices everything. He gives everything. And he radiates a love that’s steady, silly, and full of soul.

He also happens to be incredibly cute—his little underbite being one of many endearing features. But that same sweet quirk has made him more prone to dental issues than most pups, and now, at 11, those challenges have become urgent.

His teeth have started falling out, and his gums are bleeding. He’s clearly uncomfortable, and I want nothing more than to relieve his pain and make sure he’s able to keep enjoying life fully. His dental procedure is scheduled for this Thursday Nov. 13th, and the vet quoted $1,900 for the work, on top of $300 I’ve already spent on diagnosis and meds. I was able to secure a loan so we can move forward with his care right away, though it’s still beyond what I can comfortably manage alone

I’m sharing this from a very real place—this past season has brought financial challenge, and I’ve been doing my best to stay aligned with my values and heart even when things are tight. I’m deeply grateful for the option to get Boss the care he needs now—and also vulnerable in asking for support to help make that sustainable.

Little one is still hiking 4,000-foot mountains, bounding through the woods with his best friends, and melting into every snuggly crevice he can find. He’s my last baby, my steady presence, and the soft-hearted soul who’s been by my side through everything over the past 11 years—through all the love and grief along the way. He’s still FULL of life, and deserves to spend the rest of his years pain free- able to kiss all his friends!
