Over the last year, our dad, DeWayne Platt (Bo), has been dealing with a multitude of health issues. He received an official diagnosis of End Stage Liver Failure in November 2024.
Since November 2024, he has been admitted to the hospital at least once a month and stays anywhere from 3 days to a week at a time. In between hospital stays, he sees various specialists for regular bloodwork and testing. Thankfully, as of February 2025, he has been approved for a spot on the Liver Transplant list.
This is something we have been dealing with in private, as a family, up until this point. We’ve all made sacrifices during this time to make sure our dad’s needs are met. Most importantly, our mother, Melissa, has taken on the role of his full time care taker.
We are hoping to help cover the cost of past medical bills & their insurance deductible to ensure a spot on the transplant list.
We are appreciative of any support you can give whether it be a donation or just your prayers.
If you’re just finding out that our dad is sick, feel free to reach out to any of us. Please do not be offended if there is no response from him but I can assure you that he will be made aware of your kind words and support. As a family we will do our best to acknowledge any and all messages we receive.
Thank you in advance for any & all support at this time.
