My name is Slaymantha Fox, and I am the producer and creator of Booked, a monthly drag show that has become a beloved staple in our local community. Booked features a rotating cast of 12 talented performers, with each show curated by a different cast member who selects a unique theme to challenge and inspire the group. Every month, six cast members and two guest performers—often up-and-coming drag artists—take the stage, ensuring a fresh and diverse lineup that gives new talent a chance to shine. Sometimes, the show is co-hosted with that month’s creator, highlighting the collaborative spirit that makes Booked so special.

Recently, the economic climate has made it increasingly difficult for venues and sponsors to support local events. Our current sponsor will only be able to fund two more shows, and despite my ongoing efforts to secure new sponsorships, nothing has materialized yet. Without additional support, Booked may not be able to continue after July, which would be a huge loss for our performers and the community that has grown around this show.

All funds raised through this campaign will go directly to paying the performers for their time and artistry. I personally handle all promotional and production costs, so every dollar you contribute will help ensure that our cast and guest performers are compensated fairly. Booked has always been about more than just entertainment—it’s about uplifting queer artists, fostering creativity, and building a supportive space for everyone.
