Hi all, we are Sarah and Amelia, close friends of Bonnie.

Bonnie was due to begin her maternity leave in April, ready to welcome her first baby with the security and support she had worked so hard for. Sadly, this was suddenly taken away when the company we worked for went into administration without warning, leaving many of us without jobs and Bonnie without the maternity support she was relying on.

We wanted to share Bonnie’s own words so she can explain her situation:

I’m writing this with a mix of vulnerability and hope. As many of you know, I’ve been preparing for one of the biggest chapters of my life: the arrival of my first baby. I’ve worked so hard to ensure everything was ready, expecting to start my maternity leave with the peace and security every new mother deserves.

Unfortunately, that rug was suddenly pulled out from under me.

On what was supposed to be a normal workday, my colleagues and I were informed (with no prior warning) that the company we worked for was going into administration. Despite our team working tirelessly through the entire month of February and pouring my heart into my role, the leadership has refused to pay our final wages, bonuses, or the maternity support I had earned and relied on.

To be left in the dark by people we trusted, with zero sympathy or guidance, has been a devastating shock.

Instead of spending these final weeks focusing on the safe arrival of my baby boy, I am now navigating the stress of sudden redundancy and the loss of the financial safety net I worked so hard to build.

I am so proud of the genuine connections I made at my job, and I refuse to let the actions of a few crooks at the top ruin this special time. My amazing friends suggested I start this page, and though it humbles me to ask for help, I’m doing it for my little one.
