My name is Tennisha, and I am asking for help for my daughter’s beloved dog, Bonnie, who is very sick and needs an ultrasound immediately so the veterinarians can determine what is wrong and what can be done to save her.

This is truly an emergency for our family.

My daughter and I are both currently out of work through circumstances beyond our control, and we simply do not have the money available to cover the testing and veterinary care Bonnie needs right now. We are already struggling financially, but watching Bonnie become sicker while knowing there may still be something that can be done for her is heartbreaking.

Bonnie is not “just a dog” to my daughter. She is family, comfort, companionship, and a source of love during some of the hardest years of her life.

My children have already experienced devastating loss. Their father was killed during an encounter with police, and that loss changed their lives forever. My daughter has had to carry grief that no child should have to carry. Bonnie has been there through that pain, offering the kind of unconditional love and comfort that animals somehow know how to give when words cannot.

Now my daughter is facing the possibility of losing Bonnie too.

What makes this especially painful is knowing that we may lose her not because there is nothing that can be done, but because we cannot afford the diagnostic care quickly enough to find out what is happening.

The veterinarian says Bonnie needs an ultrasound as soon as possible. That ultrasound can help determine what is happening inside her body and what treatment options may still be available.

I am asking anyone who sees this to please help us get Bonnie the care she needs.

Funds raised will go toward:

- Bonnie’s emergency ultrasound

- Veterinary examination and diagnostic testing

- Bloodwork or additional testing the veterinarian determines is necessary

- Medication and treatment

- Emergency or follow-up veterinary care related to her current condition
