Hello family and friends! My name is Bonnie Ogunrinola and I’m a graduating senior at Ridgevue High School!
I’ve had the incredible honor of qualifying for the 100th annual National Speech and Debate Tournament that will take place June 16th-20th in the wonderful Des Moines, Iowa. Participating in speech and debate has FOREVER changed me as a person, speaker, and communicator and I’ve been very competitively successful this past year. My passions in speech has ignited my path in pursing journalism and legal communications at Howard University in the fall!
On April 11th, I won the IHSAA State Speech tournament in my event, Program Oral Interpretation, which is the same event I plan to take to Des Moines, Iowa in June. My program means the world to me as I discuss the community trauma and worry felt by Black Americans due to perpetual discrimination and police brutality. This is a piece that I would have the greatest honor to take to Nationals, but I need your help in order to make it possible!
If you’re willing and able to, please support me in my endeavors to the National tournament and help close out my senior year with a bang! Please share this and aid me in achieving my goal :)
Thank you so much for your time and I wish you well!
