We are seeking support on behalf of Bond Simpson and her family - Jesse (husband), Amelia (10), and Clara (3).
In mid-December, Bond received terrible news as she struggled with some persistent health issues. October of 2023 Bond complained of breast symptoms and radiology was unable to find abnormalities. In July of 2024 those concerns were brought again to the doctor and dismissed. After turning 40 she scheduled a mammogram that came back abnormal, her instincts were right all along. Her subsequent biopsy the week after Christmas led to an official diagnosis of HER2+ Invasive Metastatic Breast Cancer.
This diagnosis has created a deep level of fear and uncertainty for the Simpson family. The cancer is locally advanced and has spread to several nearby lymph nodes, it will require a double mastectomy as well as a complete lymph node dissection of the right axilla. A painful and long recovery is expected.
The doctors have prioritized Bond's treatment to immediate status due to the aggressive nature of the diagnosis and the age of Bond's young family. Treatment began with six rounds of a very aggressive chemotherapy regimen over 18 weeks scheduled to complete in June. Once chemo is complete, she will move on to the long process of surgery, more chemo and then radiation. This is anticipated to be a year-long process at minimum. This schedule greatly affects her ability to work and contribute financially to her family.
Bond is a dedicated mother and wife who truly enjoys relationships. Bond currently lives in Wenatchee, WA but holds strong ties to Southern California and has a great network of friends and loved ones. She is a woman who is uplifting, strong and helps others in need.
Bond has been a God send to the Vision Source of Wenatchee, Leavenworth and Chelan teams since joining them in November 2023. As practice administrator, Bond has used her tenacious spirit to seamlessly facilitate the launch of the new Chelan location and was the missing piece that was desperately needed for many years. Bond is a fighter and has a strong faith, we know she will beat this.
We are asking for your support of any kind for the Simpson family, whether that be donations, meals or a simple prayer. The road ahead is sure to be full of speed bumps and hard days and all support will be greatly appreciated. Together, we can reduce the financial burden that this cancer diagnosis holds on this family.
Every dollars helps, there is no donation too small. A meal train has also been set up for the Simpson family. Attached is the link to access the meal train and sign up for dates. https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/kdrgdr
