Hi everyone, my name is Tori, and I’m fundraising for my sweet dog, Bodie — my baby boy, my best friend, and truly part of our family.

A short time ago, our world changed when Bodie was diagnosed with bone cancer (osteosarcoma). Like so many pet parents, we were completely blindsided. Bodie has always been strong, gentle, and full of life — the kind of dog who makes you feel safe just by being near him.

When we learned what we were up against, we made the hardest decision of our lives: Bodie had to undergo a front leg amputation to give him the best chance at survival and comfort. He has already been through so much, and somehow… he’s still being the brave, calm, loving dog he’s always been. Even the veterinary team said he was a rockstar through it all.

The part we didn’t expect

We enrolled Bodie in a clinical trial because we were hopeful it would help cover the cost of his cancer treatment and give him access to the best care possible.

But we recently found out that chemotherapy is NOT included in the clinical trial treatment.

That means every chemo visit will cost at least $693, and Bodie needs a minimum of 6 treatments — bringing the chemo total alone to $4,158+ (and that’s before any extra medications, bloodwork, follow-ups, or complications).

Where we are right now

So far, we are already nearly $4,000 out of pocket, including:

- Out-of-pocket costs for his amputation

- A fungal test that was $1,000 by itself

- Additional appointments, medications, and care needs as we navigate this diagnosis

Thanks to your incredible support, the donations we have received so far have gone directly toward Bodie’s chemotherapy and the medical expenses associated with his treatment.

What’s next for Bodie

As Bodie continues healing and adjusting to life as a tripod, we’ve learned he will likely need a prosthetic brace, and possibly a supportive harness with a leg attachment, to help him stay mobile, comfortable, and maintain a good quality of life long-term.

These mobility aids are an important part of his recovery and will help reduce strain on his body as he continues fighting and healing.

Why we’re asking for help

Bodie deserves this chance. He’s adapting, healing, and still showing up every day with so much trust in us. We want to give him the best care possible so he can have more time, more comfort, and more good days with the people who love him.

- A prosthetic brace and/or mobility harness
