We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a desperate plea for help. Our beloved dog, Bodhi, recently suffered a serious injury when he accidentally jumped off the couch and broke his front left leg. It happened so suddenly, and the pain was so intense that we rushed him to the emergency vet. After an initial procedure, we were relieved to know that his leg was stable—but the road to recovery is far from over.

While we’ve taken the first step with emergency care and a procedure to realign the bone Bodhi still needs follow-up appointments and ongoing treatment. The worst-case scenario is that his bone may not heal correctly, and he might need an amputation. This would be heartbreaking for our family, as he’s more than just a dog to us—he’s a family member, and an emotional support animal for our autistic son. Their bond is incredibly special, and Bodhi provides him with comfort, joy, and emotional stability in ways words can't fully express. The thought of him going through more pain or losing him entirely is unbearable.

We are a low-income family, and unfortunately, the medical bills are piling up faster than we can keep up with.
