Hi, my name is Bob. Some of you may know me as the Woodbaby puppet guy. I made the Woodbabies for nearly 40 years until 2020 when I caught COVID three times. That started a spiral of health issues and the loss of my business due to not having a place to sell and trusting someone whom I should not have. I have been in and out of the hospital for the past 5 years. I have a part-time job, but being in and out of the hospital has cost us dearly financially. I need help. Our AC is broken; we live in Florida. Our kitchen sink needs a new faucet, and there is something wrong with our plumbing. We also need our shower fixed. Our vehicles need repair; that alone would make our lives easier, as we cannot go far for either a job or to go to a craft show to try and make money that way again. My surgery is for my heart and there is a large deductible which we cannot meet. This surgery will save my life; without it, I will not live for long. There will be little to no money coming in until I can work again. However, every time I get hospitalized, we fall further and further behind with bills. Friends have gotten us groceries, which has helped. I have sold most of my tools and equipment to try to keep the lights on. This time, however, it will just make it so we will fall so far behind on bills that we cannot recover. I am asking for help not because we want to keep a lifestyle that is gone 5 years now, but just so we stand a chance to make ends meet and fix our home and vehicles. We do not have family who care about us or are in a position to do anything to help us; we are alone in our area. We have also tried getting government help but were denied. A few friends have helped us in the past few years, and I am so grateful to them for their assistance.
