Get Your Bob On! 'Bob's Hops' Travels the World!

Hi! We are Device. Together, we've been in film and music for the last 20 years and, despite everyone being broke since Covid, we wanted to make something now and not wait for tomorrow ... so, with art in our hearts, we took the risk and made this self-funded film.

Bob's Hops is a 90-minute film about a roach-man Mute who faces a dastardly puppeteer and saves his tone-deaf city with beer.

Our goal was to tell a multi-layered story about the world of Bob.

Produced in Austria, Bob's Hops takes you to the tri-factional city of Pitchfork where the Wets, Drys and Mutes live. Bob, a Mute, gets the fuzzy-pop when he must find a cure for Sunshine, the nation’s one and only poisonous beer, after an attack leaves his niece deathly ill. But ... Mutes are banned from beverages! Amidst escalating chaos at work and the terrible orchestrations of a master puppeteer, Bob's investigations hit a clanging pitch: what's wrong with everybody’s ears, what's it got to do with beer, and well … what the fork?

It's got more styles than Harry, mixes Ojha with booyah, gives you tunes to the moon, and boongles of colour! After all that, we ask you: Who's YOUR uncle?

Answer: Bob is.

NOW: It's complete—we did it! We've won three awards and Bob's been shown in Floripe, Brazil, Peru, Moskow, the UK and Toronto! GNYAR! We made it! We're still going and hope fans of B-movies, Sci-Fi, Comedy, and Indie films will support the final leg of our project so that you can view it, too!

The €5,000 includes the costs of submitting Bob's Hops to domestic and international film festivals and hosting a screening in Vienna, Austria for everyone who worked on it.
