Bob Crivokapich, a lifelong Grant Park native, has always been deeply rooted in this community. Together with his wife Teresa, he raised their five children here, and for more than 20 years he has poured his heart into coaching the high school softball team. Bob has given so much of his time, energy, and care to Grant Park—always showing up for others with kindness and selflessness.
Last week, Bob underwent open-heart surgery and has since faced serious complications. He was transferred from Riverside to Christ Hospital, where he remains in critical condition in the ICU, supported by a ventilator and an ECMO machine as his body continues to fight and heal. While there have been small but hopeful signs of progress, his journey will be long, with extended hospitalization and rehabilitation ahead.
Now, in this difficult time, we have the chance to give back to Bob and his family the way he has so generously given to all of us. Donations will help ease the burden of mounting medical expenses and day-to-day needs, allowing his family to focus on supporting him through recovery.
Bob has always been there for Grant Park—on the field and beyond. Let’s come together as a community to lift him and his family up with generosity, prayers, and love. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
