Bob has spent his entire life showing up for others. Now, he needs us to show up for him. At 83 years old, Bob is preparing to face his second battle with cancer, a journey that will require costly medical procedures, ongoing treatment, transportation, and essential daily expenses. After a lifetime of giving, this is a burden no one should have to carry alone.
Bob is a proud Vietnam Era U.S. Navy veteran, who served honorably for 8 years. During his service in early 1966, he was part of a critical loss and recovery operation of four Hydrogen bombs after a fatal U.S. Air Force collision. That mission came with long-term consequences, and Bob later suffered complications from radiation exposure, something he has quietly endured for decades. But if you ask anyone in Tuolumne County, they won’t start with his hardships—they’ll tell you about his heart.
For over 55 years, Bob has been a pillar of the community: helping form and support local churches, volunteering with the American Red Cross, teaching CPR and life-saving skills, mentoring youth through Boy Scouts and Sea Scouts of America, and serving as a local tax professional for 16 years—including volunteering his time to prepare taxes for free at the local library. Bob has spent a lifetime giving his time, wisdom, and care to others, often quietly, without recognition, and always with humility.
Now, as he faces this difficult season, we have an opportunity to give back. Your donation will go directly toward medical treatments and procedures, transportation to and from care, and living expenses during recovery. More than anything, your support will remind Bob that the same community he has poured into for decades is standing beside him now. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping Bob in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s come together to honor a man who has given so much, by helping carry him through this fight. Thank you for your generosity and support.
