My husband Bobby and I are facing one of the toughest battles of our lives. Bobby has been diagnosed with recurrent astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer that has returned. He is currently undergoing both radiation and chemotherapy at Duke hospital in Durham, NC. The treatments are intense and require frequent trips to the hospital, which is a significant distance from our home. As you can imagine, the medical bills are piling up quickly, and we are also struggling to keep up with our regular monthly expenses. The cost of gas for traveling back and forth to Duke, as well as other related expenses, has added to our financial burden.
