Bobby, my loving spouse, has been fighting stage 4 lung cancer for over a year. He’s endured intense chemotherapy and radiation, and despite our best efforts, the cancer has now spread to his brain. The journey has been filled with hope and heartbreak, and we’ve faced a mountain of medical bills and expenses along the way. I made the decision to quit my job so I could care for Bobby full-time, turning caregiving into my life’s focus. We’re now living on a fixed income, and every day is a struggle to make ends meet. Recent news from the doctor was devastating—Bobby now has a tumor on the front left lobe of his brain. We’re doing everything we can to keep fighting, but it often feels like we take two steps forward and two steps back.
Bobby has always had a big heart, especially for animals. Over the years, we’ve rescued cats, a dog, and even a spurred tortoise, giving them a loving home. Now, as we face these challenges, my main concern is making sure Bobby has everything he needs—his medications, special diet, and a safe, warm home. We’ve gone through most of our savings, and I’m doing my best to stretch what little we have to care for Bobby and our rescues. He has no living family, but my children and I are his family, and we’re determined to support him through this fight.
We love and appreciate our friends, and anything that y’all do to help us will be greatly appreciated. May God bless you all for your kindness and support.
