Many of you may know Bob Evans from Bishop Moore High
School, Lyman High, Windermere Little League and Bishop
Moore as umpire camp; coach, supporter of Camp Good Times and
Special Times and Matthew’s Hope Ministries. Some of you
may know Bob as a well respected “material handling”
specialist.
Bobby was in perfect health until one day he began
experiencing swallowing and some breathing difficulties. After
many tests, various doctors /specialists and 2 years later, he
was finally diagnosed… stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a
tumor at the base of his tongue. His grueling treatment
consisted of the removal of 5 teeth, radiation, and
chemotherapy. He was put on a trach and feeding tube.
Currently, Bobby has completed his 8 weeks of treatment and
each day regains a little bit of his strength back.
This journey has been long and painful and is far from finished.
In mid December, Bobby will have a PET scan that will
determine if the treatments wiped away the cancer and has not
spread, at which time he will hopefully have the trach and
feeding tube removed.
Needless to say, the hospital visits, cancer treatments,
medications, special equipment, etc., has put a huge financial
burden on Bob and Yvette. If you are willing and able, it would
be so appreciated for any financial donation you can
contribute, as they struggle through this difficult time.
Thank you and God bless you!
Love,
Jim and Susan
