Bobby Dobbs is my brother. This spring, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He had many surgeries to cut out the cancer, and in the process, they found more on his liver. He has a battle ahead of him. He started his second cancer treatment last week. He is still scheduled for four more and will be going to USC for a decision on his liver and if another treatment is necessary or surgery. He is going to survive this! Bobby is a fighter and has the perfect outlook & attitude to get through this.

In the meantime, we need to help and support him. Being off work for medical leave can be such a financial stress on a family. Since Bobby has been seen by multiple doctors this spring, none of them wrote him time off for a long enough period to claim any disability, despite not being at work for months. ( since May and had a contract change / new job as of Aug 1st) There is something wrong with a medical system that makes it hard to tap into benefits that you have earned to keep your family afloat in times like this.
