Support Bobbi's Recovery Journey

My friend Bobbi has been dealing with a bad infection that has caused her to not be able to work. She is currently at home but not able to walk so she can’t run her business. I’m copying her face book post so people can read the story of what happened. If you are able or willing to donate to Bobbi I know she could really use the help but being the proud person she is won’t ask for the help. Please feel free to share.

This is a post that I’ve been putting off for awhile. I’m a private person and I have a solid circle of friends but I’ve been told that Facebook can widen my support circle so here goes.

A little over 3 weeks ago, I woke up feeling fine but by 830 I wasn’t feeling well so I cancelled my classes for that day. Most of the rest of the day is pretty fuzzy but I asked a good friend to come stay with me. Again I don’t remember much of the day or that night but I was in excruciating pain in my left leg. Next day we called an ambulance and I was taken to Weirton. I stayed there for part of the day then was transferred to Ruby in Morgantown. My orthopedic doctor and podiatrist where there so I was glad to be going somewhere where I knew the doctors. Long story but I had an infection in and around my left knee. This knee had had a replacement 7-8 years ago. They tell me infections like to go and settle somewhere artificial. I was admitted and stayed at Ruby for 2 weeks. Left knee was removed. Some complications with infections in other areas arose. It was a rough first week, most of which I don’t really remember. After 2 weeks I was transferred to a rehab facility where I stayed for a week. I’m home now, mostly reunited with my dogs, but have months more recovery time. Not sure what my mobility will be in the future but I’m working hard and praying for the best possible outcome. I was in a pretty bad place for a few days but came through. Still don’t have much strength but just being home in my own house will make recovery much easier. I don’t have the energy to answer many questions right now but keep me in thoughts and prayers please.
