Hi everyone,

I’m sharing this on behalf of my best friend’s dog, Bobbi - a 7 lb. Pomeranian with a personality ten times his size. He’s playful, spunky, a little sassy, and basically steals attention everywhere he goes. He’s not just a pet, he’s family.

Just a week ago, Bobbi was his usual happy self. But seemingly overnight, something changed. He started showing signs of pain around his jaw and neck. He stopped eating as much, wasn’t moving like he normally does, and even began throwing up. It was so out of character that we rushed him to the vet immediately.

The first few visits brought no answers. X-rays showed nothing, and despite how clearly uncomfortable Bobbi was, no one could tell us what was wrong. It was painful and frustrating to watch him suffer and not know how to help.

Then one morning, we woke up and saw it: a large, angry-looking lesion had appeared on his face, likely from him scratching the area in his sleep. We rushed him back to the vet, and that’s when things became clear. Bobbi had been silently battling a serious bacterial infection under the skin, and by the time it showed on the surface, the infection had already caused necrosis (tissue death) around his head.

There was no choice - he needed emergency surgery to survive.

Bobbi made it through surgery, and now he’s healing. He’s stitched up, shaved in patches, and (kind of adorably) looks like a tiny Frankenstein. But his spark? Still there. He’s still the same spunky little guy, wagging his tail and doing his best to bounce back.

We’re incredibly grateful he’s still with us, but the medical bills have piled up - fast. Between diagnostics, imaging, surgery, medication, and follow-up care, the cost has been overwhelming. That’s why we’re asking for help.
