Hello, my name is Mike Meinzinger and I am raising money to help a very special person whose career for the last 12 years has been dedicated to the safety and well-being of others. Bob Tate has been head of security for the Detroit Yacht Club since July of 2013. He has been committed to ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of the Members, our guests, and the historic Club. As many of you know, Bob takes his job very seriously.

Bob has been courageously battling pancreatic cancer through intensive treatment since late last year. Despite Bob's fortitude, the cancer has spread aggressively through his body. Bob is not giving up the fight, but his extended leave of absence and costs of medical care and living expenses have caused a critical deficit in his finances. Bob is continuing treatment to battle this terrible disease, and I am asking for help so that Bob can have some relief from the financial stress that he is experiencing.
