UPDATE: After talking with Bob, and deciding how to proceed with Bob's care, Sheri has asked me to end the GoFundMe. Thank you one and all for being S.O.B.s, your generosity means the world to Bob, Sheri, me, and all his friends and family.
Hi, all. First, let me start by apologizing, and not just for the picture (it's not easy to find a good photo of this guy, we had to lure him into this one with a pretty woman). Seven years ago, one of my best friends in the world, Bob McDonald, had a stroke and needed some financial help. And with the help of some friends, I started a GoFundMe to help him out, and because he's Bob, and one of the brightest-shining lights in this world, y'all came through for him, and quite literally saved his life. This made you all S.O.B.s, a.k.a., Supporters Of Bob. At that time, I said I would NEVER ask for money again. But for his sake, I'm going back on my word. Bob is currently in the hospital, and it's more serious than before. And he could use some more financial help. I know this is a tough time of year, in a tough economy, to ask for money, but if you can help, please do. We've set a goal of $10,420.69. $10,000, because on a scale of 1 to 10, Bob's heart is definitely a 10. $420, because Bob. And the $.69, well, I'll leave that to your imagination. Thank you. Again. And a big thanks to Tom McGrath for kicking me in the butt to get this going. While we're at it, a much-belated big thanks to Jani Hamlin for kicking me in the butt last time we did this.
