Support Bob Lewis in His Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
All donations and proceeds from this GoFundMe will go to Bob Lewis and the Lewis family who have been dear friends for over two decades.
In 2012, Bob was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This type of cancer develops when the bone marrow produces too many lymphocytes or white blood cells.
Bob survived stage four lymphoma and has been in remission for 12 years. In August 2024, a large tumor began to form in his throat. After a biopsy, Bob’s doctors determined his lymphoma returned. The options and prognosis were not promising.
Bob decided to reach out to his original doctor from 2012. Dr. Rosen is the Executive Vice President and Director Emeritus at Comprehensive Cancer Center and Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. He is also a close friend of the family whose personal number is saved in Bob’s phone. Dr. Rosen asked Bob to visit him at City of Hope immediately.
City of Hope is a private, non-profit clinical research center, hospital, and graduate school located in Duarte, California. It is recognized as one of the nation’s top five hospitals for cancer care, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 rankings.
This is where Dr. Rosen is located, and it’s where Bob needs to be to treat his lymphoma!
Bob is approved to go through an innovative clinical trial at the City of Hope in Los Angeles, California. This trial will last approximately 26 month and will require Bob to travel back and forth between Chicago and Los Angeles every two weeks — totaling about 40-50 trips.
We are confident Bob has what it takes to win this battle again! Please consider donating to his GoFundMe to support him in his fight against cancer. Every dollar matters! We know that Bob and his family will be incredibly grateful!
